ZTE has announced a new Android Ice Cream Sandwich-powered phone in its line-up called the Mimosa X.
The new phone is equipped with a 4.3 inch (960 x 540) screen and a Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core processor.
It also features an Nvidia Icera 450 HSPA+ modem, leading Michael Rayfield, general manager of mobile business at Nvidia to proclaim: "The Mimosa X marks the first time NVIDIA technology powers all the major processors in a single smartphone, and also the first time a premium mobile computing experience is coming to the mainstream smartphone market."
We're not sure about the premium mobile computing experience bit, but this phone clearly packs more Nvidia tech than most others on the market.
More phones promised
The ZTE Mimosa X has a 5 megapixel camera and 4GB of internal storage, expandable to 32GB. It's also DLNA enabled for easy media sharing and is equipped with HD video recording, dual microphones and a built-in gyroscope for hours of tilting fun.
We'll likely get more info on the Mimosa X and other products from the relatively unknown brand (in the UK, at least) at Mobile World Congress 2012 in Barcelona next week, where ZTE has already promised it will be launching new Windows Phone and Android handsets.
