Nokia Lumia 610 and Lumia 900 likely for MWC

Nokia Lumia 610 and Lumia 900 likely for MWC

News agency Reuters has 'confirmed' that Nokia will be unveiling the Lumia 610 and a global version of its Lumia 900 at MWC 2012 in Barcelona.

Two sources close to Nokia leaked the information to Reuters, with the phones set to make their debuts at a news conference on Monday.

Both phones are thought to run Microsoft's Windows Phone operating system and we could well see the budget-focussed Lumia 610 sporting the newer version, known as Windows Phone Tango.

Two, maybe three

We expect the Lumia 610 to sport a very competitive price tag somewhere in the region of 100. Details on the budget phone are thin of the ground however, so we will have to wait until next week to get the full run down.

Much more is known about the Lumia 900, as it is already slated for an impending launch in the US. We expect the global version of the Lumia 900 to lose the LTE capability it will rock in America, but we hope it keeps its 4.3-inch AMOLED screen, 8MP camera with dual LED flash and swish design.

These two Lumia handsets could also be joined by a third device from Nokia which is rumoured to be the Symbian toting Pureview 808.

We will be at MWC 2012 to bring you the latest from Nokia and all the details on its new handsets.
