A press shot and specifications for the Sony Xperia Pepper have made their way online ahead of a potential launch.
We first heard about the Pepper when a roadmap for Sony handsets in 2012 was leaked, which noted that the Pepper would arrive in April with a price of around 250.
According to the latest reports, we now know more about the Sony Xperia Pepper which is expected to have a 1GHz dual-core processor, 3.7-inch FWVGA (480 x 854) screen, Android Ice Cream Sandwich, 5MP camera with 720p video recording and NFC Technology.

Ready to shake things up
The leaked press shot confirms the NFC capabilities for the Xperia Pepper, as Sony's Smart Tags also appear in the image.
We've already seen Smart Tags feature with the Xperia S and Sony looks set to push NFC technology to more of its handsets.
The Xperia Pepper is likely to receive a name change before it hits the market, probably making it fall in line with the single lettered approach Sony seems to have adopted for the Xperia S, Xperia U and Xperia P.
